What I received doesn’t align with the negative reviews
Based on the negative reviews I’ve read I’m lead to believe there must be numerous sellers filling orders for this product & at least one of the sellers must’ve shipped out some cheap knock-offs. This thought came to mind as I’ve had something along those lines happen to me a few months back. I ordered an Ace bandage wrap then a few days later ordered another one through the same listing. The first time the bandage came packaged in a box with Ace branding. When I ordered the second time the bandage just came in an unbranded, clear plastic bag, the bandage was made of a different type of cloth & worst of all the bandage would not lie flat because the edges kept folding inwards.Back to this product. I saw some reviews stating the tools did not come in a branded box, instead they came in a bag. Mine came in a box which was good quality, sturdy & gave the appearance of a professionally made product. I took a moment to look over each individual tool to check for any defects hinting at a rushed product & poor quality control, all was well. When deciding which listing to buy for these tools my biggest concern was the amount of people mentioning how flimsy the plastic was. For that reason I chose to go with these despite them being one of the more expensive listings for a 5-piece set. I just crossed my fingers & hoped it was a get-what-you-pay-for situation & these would be better quality than the cheaper listings. After opening the box for the first time I was relieved at how strong they felt. At the end of the day they are plastic but with that said they feel sturdy. I read some reviews mentioning how easily a piece of the tool snapped when put to work. Those reviews I think are from those who may have gotten a lesser version by a shady seller or they put far too much stress than what most others would attempt with these tools. Looking at the smallest tool in the set the tip on one end is about as thick as a dime. Any person with some common sense would see how thin that part of the tool is & know they shouldn’t expect it to hold up to 10lbs of pressure. These tools are plastic but they’re are strong for their size. Even when trying to flex each tool in the center you can hardly see any curve. They certainly are heavy duty plastic but certain parts of the smaller two tools get pretty thin on one of their ends. As long as you take a good look at each tool & how thick/thin they may be you should be able to handle the task without breaking your new tools
