Easy once you figure it out. The price can't be beat. Installed on 1993 Toyota Camry

Easy once you figure it out. The price can't be beat. Installed on 1993 Toyota Camry
Step 1: Throw away the "wiring diagrams" that came with it.Step 2: Find your vehicle's factory service manualStep 3: Here is how this thing ACTUALLY works.o Connect power and ground to the device (black and red wires)o When you hit the lock button, the white and yellow wires connecto When you hit the unlock button, the white + black and yellow + black wires connect.o Each brown wire goes to left or right turn signal positive wire.o I did not hook up the remaining features, but I believe they work similarly. My vehicle is a 1993 Toyota Camry XLE. It has power locks, but no keyfob. This is what I did to hook this up:First, find the Toyota lock actuator control unit. This is behind the glove box. If you also want the car to flash lights when you lock/unlock you will need to also tap into the wiring harness for the emergency flashers. behind the gauge cluster bezel. The included diagram instructs you (for "with lock actuators") to hook up both yellow wires to positive, this may be correct for some vehicles, but Toyota locks are actuated by switching on GROUND, so this will just blow the fuse. In my case, I hooked both yellow wires up to ground. Connect the lock wire (WHITE) to the light green wire on the lock actuator box. Connect the unlock wire (WHITE-black) to the dark green wire on the lock actuator box. Connect one brown wire to the left signal flasher (green-black) and the other brown wire to the right signal flasher (green yellow).I made a custom diagram that should work on all similarly aged Toyotas, this one is on a 1993 camry. I circled the wires I tapped in the attached images.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2004 Celica CAREFUL, DON'T SMOKE THE BCM !
Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2020
Great value for the $ ! Instructions a little murky. Be careful, find a good wiring diagram for your car to see how the locks are operated by the BCM. (Google has some ) Be careful ! You can smoke the body control module ! I was frustrated with the confusing diagrams included and was ready to give up until I saw the diagram (figure A) , those are the most important wires for the locking part. I wired mine to GROUND bc that's how the BCM is triggered by the lock switch on mine. <04 Celica> tapped into /soldered the wires to the switch with and ran the power from an empty relay socket in the fuse panel. I soldered in extra length to the antenna wire and it works great. I also bench tested the unit before installing by hooking up power and the ground(s) then programming the remotes, then activate the remote check the white wires to see if they were getting ground output. (That's how I needed to wire it)Like I said , check your door lock schematic first. You might not see power coming to the switch from the bcm b/c it sends a milliamp signal to the switch. Don't F with that wire ! I didn't bother with the lights or anything else as the bcm is a bear to dig out. Btw the led light didn't work , for whatever reason, needed to hook up more accessories perhaps. Hey for u Celica owners i threw in the switch wiring for ya ! From smAlldata. Lol.
