Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This will fit into a mini fuse holder, but it is taller and has a little ear that normal fuses don't have. These features can be trimmed off without exposing the diode, but it also removes the diode symbol.
I bought this and a little fuse mini fuse holder to add into my 1985 Toyota Pickup to do the AGM alternator diode mod. Now I haven't decided if it's actually a good mod so I'm not endorsing it, but this setup does seam to work. This diode provides about .3v forward bias.
I installed a newer style hairpin alternator which pumps out lower voltage than the factory so my AGMs were only around 12.15v at rest. This bumped peak charge from 14.1 to 14.4 (13.6 to 14.4 float). I'm considering running two in series to get a little higher, but I'm not sure if that's a great idea yet so I'll try this for a while.
Ford E450 old diode melted/bulged. Mini-fuse size but is not a fuse- it’s directional. Make sure it’s turned so the side tab allows it to fully seat. Not readily available locally so I like the multi pack.
This WILL fit a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Diode blew while jump starting it when the terminals got briefly crossed. None of the parts stores in the area carried it. Put the new one in, along with the blow main fuse, took it for a spin and all the Check Engine Lights went away after a short drive.
I like this diode for my 2006 ford f -150 ac fuse blew 4x4 high light quit working . this diode is black can't tell if it's blown . It being bad caused ac fuse to blow in cab . Replaced it and fuse in cab now got ice cold ac again . This part did the trick .
