    Worked like a charm
If you car is running lean (error P2177 on Mazda 5 2008, errors P0171/P0174 on most other cars with two banks), and if your symptoms get worse when driving (vs. idling), then your problem could be the MAF sensor. The fuel pump, fuel injectors, and the oxygen sensors are the other candidates. If you're looking for an air leak you're going in the wrong direction. It turns out that this was exactly our problem. The long term fuel trims went down from 20% to 5% soon after I installed the new MAF sensor, as you can see in the picture.Denso is the recommended brand for Mazda (and it is the OEM I believe). Don't go cheap on that one: you'll be paying the difference in Tylenol pills trying to figure out why your new MAF did not solve your problem.
