I've got a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I've built into an off-road toy.I've installed all 3 lens types (Fog/Driving/Long Range)of these KC lightson my Jeep so I can see off-road and they are fantastic.They were easy to install with the provided directions, which be sure to readand it will make your life much easier.The switch provided didn't suite what I was trying to do since I was going to have actuallyfour total sets of lights wired in. I opted out and purchased a set of missle style switchesthat had the flip covers on them.In any case for the money, great product and I get alot of compliments with these lightsespecially off road when the other drives ask me to "Turn on the Sun so we can see!"

I mounted these lights to my Jeep grille guard and they sure are BRIGHT! Love the aesthetics of KC lights. They are such a reputable company and it shows in products like this. Definitely a must have if you’re planning on going off-roading or want to blast some lumens and see super clearly at night.

I removed my cowl panel (2008, Jeep, Wrangler (JK), 2 door) and strung the wiring all through it (zip tied nice and neatly grouped) and mounted the included switch on the drivers pillar. It looks and functions fantastic. I made gaskets out of actual gasket material purchased at "Advanced Auto" to go between the brackets and the mounting points because of the reviews I read on here about rusting. I've only had them on for about a week but they are solid and I just don't see any problems. I can tell you that the design of these KC mounting brackets is far far better than others I've seen. They are painted glossy black (matches my Jeep) and are coated very well. Although the directions were very short and lacked detail, the included wiring harness makes it simple. I'm 54 years old and found it easy to install, just take it one connection at a time and next thing you know you're done. The biggest problem I had was getting the switch wires into the passenger compartment. To do this, I used a putty knife and placed some string over it, carefully pushed it through where the windshield corner bracket was removed, then tied and tapper taped the desired wires to the string and pulled them through. Once the bracket is back on, nothing, not a single wire is visible. Three other notes;
1. When laying the wiring under your cowl panel, keep it clear of the wiper arm/motor actions. I ran mine between the plastic guard and the firewall.
2. After removing the interior drivers side pillar panel I drilled a small hole in the interior framing steal of the pillar for the grounding point, it works great!
3. When mounting the included switch, don't use the small square mounting block they provide, drill (DON'T OVER DRILL) a hole just barely big enough for the post of the switch to approach fitting into and screw the switch itself into the hole, the two plastics will bond together very nice and tight. then place the provided retainer nut on the back. This will make the switch a Rock Solid mounting.
Hope this was helpful, ... It all turned out great and I love how well these lights function. Good Luck!

I installed these on a custom brush guard on my 97 Tahoe 4 door 4x4. A week later a bad storm came through. I am bad afraid of storms... and a tornado was heading straight for us. So, I got the wife and the dogs and we got in the truck and ran. It was practically there by the time we started to leave: intense lightening, wind, sirens, and rain had stopped. We drove out of its path through the hardest wind and thickest rain I had ever been in. The ONLY way I made it out was with these lights. The little bit that I could see was because of these lights, without them I was blind. There were few cars on the road, the ones that were just followed behind me. I am glad I had these lights when I needed them most. The tornado missed my house by maybe a mile, too close.

I was not sure how the cheap mounts it came with would work, they worked fine. They stay in place on bumpy dirt roads, interstate, and high wind. Good enough for me. The lights are amazingly bright.

I will never have another truck or SUV without them.
