    524 customers mention221 positive303 negative

Customers are mixed about the quality of the fuel pump. Some mention that it has a really surprising amount of pump power, it's easy to pump most of the water out of the drain pan, and it fills up a 5-gallon bucket pretty quick. However, others say that the suctioned hose gets oiled and hard to handle, the gear oil never fully goes away, and the pump would not draw gasoline from a five-gallone can at all.

    106 customers mention43 positive63 negative

Customers are mixed about the suction of the fuel pump. Some mention that it has great suction, while others say that it doesn't work as expected. The suction hose is not sturdy enough, and it needs a weight to hold it on the bottom.

"...Pump not labeled suction or discharge but you figure it out quickly." Read more

"...Suction was great! Few pumps and it pulls all in and really quick. Easy to use as it comes with instructions!..." Read more

"...It's just sucking on itself. At best you're sucking very small amounts of liquid through the pump...." Read more

"Only used to transfer gasoline but it did great for that. Plenty of suction power and easy to use. Better than spilling gas out of safety cans!" Read more

    64 customers mention35 positive29 negative

Customers are mixed about the cleanliness of the fuel pump. Some mention that it can be dismantled, cleaned, and used with multiple fluids. They say it works fast and cleans up easily, with minimal mess. However, other customers say that it gets the job done but can get a little messy and takes longer to clean than they'd think.

"...It is obviously well made and works very well. Its design is simple, requires no assembly, and the pump is easy to use...." Read more

"...n't go into this thinking you are gonna have 4 quarts out in 5m. It's a bit messy as well...." Read more

"...Worked perfectly, no more kinks. The other thing. Sometimes the hoses fall out of the tank when your pumping in the beginning...." Read more

"...a plastic bag as once used the gear oil never fully goes away and makes a mess (especially with the hoses bending in random ways)." Read more

    55 customers mention27 positive28 negative

Customers are mixed about the fit of the fuel pump. Some mention that the attachment hoses were a perfect length, while others say that the tubing is too small.

"The pump is small. Would require many pumping actions to remove a large amount of liquid...." Read more

"...Easy to use after reading the instructions. Hoses were long enough to reach the bottom of my gas tank and left plenty of hose to fill a gasoline..." Read more

"...The tub didn't quite fit in the hole and I would either lose suction or worse, the tube would fall out every two seconds...." Read more

"...-- anyway, it works brilliantly and the hoses are long enough to easily move fuel from bikes to boats to jetski's to stuck cars..." Read more

    122 customers mention26 positive96 negative

Customers are dissatisfied with the seal on the fuel pump. They mention that it leaks gas all over their hands and arms, and kinks up. The pump leaks around the piston, and the hose is rigid and would not uncoil. The tank oil will leak a bit into the pump, and it has cheap materials that don't create a seal.

"...It's definitely not a super high-quality device. The tranny oil will leak a bit into the pump, but I never had issues with any leaking out onto the..." Read more

I used it to thaw a frozen defrosting drain in my refridgerator freezer

I used it to thaw a frozen defrosting drain in my refridgerator freezer
Search YouTube for "freezer dripping water", and you'll find several videos that suggest using a turkey baster to squirt hot water on the freezer coils to thaw an iced-up drain line. Normally, during the defrost cycle, the coils are warmed so that the frost melts and it drips down through a drain hose to a pan underneath the freezer, and then the water evaporates. If this drain freezes up, the frost melts and runs onto the bottom of the freezer; re-freezes, and eventually forms an "ice shelf" that can prevent the freezer door from closing all the way. After that happens, when the defrost cycle runs again, the melted ice water runs across the surface of the ice and drips onto the floor in front of the freezer.By using the multi-use siphon instead of a turkey baster, I was able to get hot water directly into the freezer vents without having to take the freezer door and drawers apart. It was a great time-saver.
