New to the forum. This past Tuesday i flew to Pennsylvania from Virginia and purchased a 2016 Platinum Black Tundra with the following options: TRD Dual Exhaust/TRD Sway Bar/TRD Air filter/Remote Start/Spray In Bedliner/Alloy Wheel Locks/Stainless Steel Step Boards/Center Console Tray/All Weather Floor Liners/ARE LS2 Cover/Bed Mat.

Waiting for the ARE LS2 cover to come in.... Here she is... Still getting use to the size coming from an MDX and BMW K1600GTL MC... Also forgot to add it has Remote Start which is pretty sweet too!

Thanks! For now just waiting on the ARE LS2 back cover to arrive and bed mat... After that, and i settle in for a bit ($$$), I will explore possible tires and rim upgrades... Have to enjoy as is for a bit until wife agrees to more $ on mods... Will definitely be looking!!!

Nice looking truck you got! I too share the same struggle with getting the wife's blessing on mods/upgrades lol. When I go for final approval I try to highlight how it will benefit the greater good of the family... 60% of the time it works every time!!

Oh yeah, had to fight my wife with getting some AT tires! Played the route of pros vs cons. Best thing you can do is just do it, and while you're in the dog house, enjoy your mods LOL. She'll get over it. Roses, candlelit dinners and back/foot rubs go a loooong way!! :itllbuffout:

Good thing about being a redneck, I have a good security system set up when I'm in the dog house

Motorworld Toyota in Wilkes-Barre. Was the only Black Plat Tundra with ALL the factory installed options listed above. & since no dealers in the Yorktown/Virginia Beach area could come within 3K of the price they were offering it was a no brainer to spend $200 on a plane ticket and drive it 400 miles back!!!!

Interesting. FYI, I had good luck buying in the DC/Bethesda/NoVA area previously, must be the competition from a large number of dealers. Prices were far, far less than Rochester/Buffalo/Syracuse areas.

Yes there were 2 trucks in the NOVA/Maryland area I was VERY close to purchasing and decided on the PA truck after I found out the NOVA truck was a dealer demo with 4k miles on it.... :-(
Also these trucks in that area did not have the Remote Start or TRD Sway Bar. I learned after researching these trucks A LOT if the truck came from the factory with options already installed it was much easier to get price breaks than having dealer order and install options; especially like the TRD Dual exhast and Spray in bedliner. So after talking with multiple dealers in literally a 4 state area PA came the lowest in price and had all the right options I needed! ONLY options i had dealer add were Running boards/alloy wheel locks and center console tray and literally they came about 6k off MSRP.... No other dealers were touching that especially with a truck with only 36 miles on it...

Stay away from Lustine Toyota in Woodbridge, VA... They are lying, cheating bastards. Screwed me on a transfer case repair on my First Gen AND when trying to purchase a newer truck from them. Wasted my time and money... I also ended up going up to PA to purchase my truck.

    And welcome from Northern VA.
