I’m being told one guy has done it but I haven’t seen video or images of it. Oh well. I’ll claim the title I’ll share when it’s completed.

    Flux capacitor!
This brings back memories of a old buddies s-10 build from back in the 90s. He cut an access port like you did. But he made the entire bed into his sub enclosure. He had a 1” thick plexi glass for top of the box. The six 15” JL subwoofers were mounted on the top of the plexiglass. It was by far the loudest vehicle I’ve ever sat inside! It felt like your chest was being caved in from the bass.

Very unique idea and cool idea. It’s your truck so make it the way you want. Post up some more pics as your build progresses.

Just a suggestion look up mechman 240 amp alternator. They make one specifically for Toyota. It sells for $424 with no core charge. You will need a 1/0 main power and ground and it’s $109. I can run all my light bars at once and my amp gauge doesn’t even budge.

Sounds awesome!! I have a mechman 375 amp built alternator going in along with a limitless lithium 100ah 12v battery in the bed. Trust I’ve covered all corners with this build.

    Welcome from MD.

Interesting build, not sure if I would cut into the cab either. Then again I see where you are trying to go with this. I used to compete in the IASCA audio circuit back in the day. Ran a 4Runner with (4) 12” subs and motorized amp racks. Those days ended when a kid driving a stolen truck t-boned my suv trying to evade a police pursuit. But that’s another story for another time.
It’s great to see the creativity your putting forth. I see you mentioned that you were sealing the box against the cab. I would also make sure that your not getting any exhaust coming into the cab as well. Either from the bed, or between the cab and bed. Keep posting pics, would like to see how this turns out.

What’s up bro, didn’t know you were in here too lol. There is or was another tundra that had a blow through, saw the vid on YouTube. They even kept the rear window functional. I did a ton of searching when I looked into doing this but just couldn’t pull the trigger lol. I’ll see if I can find that video again, it was a purple lifted crewmax.

If its lowered with a sound system, its a show truck.
You need to make sure it shoots flames while playing, jump around...

Thanks for the welcome from MD. TX here. Sad to hear about your build getting t-boned man. However, you’re a still here with us to speak on it! That’s a blessing.

The box won’t be sealed so to speak. It will have an industrial seal around it for the bed flex. Rubber and what not. Exhaust fumes should also be blocked from entering the cab. My guy with the fabrication is a specialist in boat systems. I’ll continue to share as the build goes on!

Not yet. However that’s the next mission. I don’t want to lay frame though. Maybe another 2-4” upon my already 4/6 drop. AA1A471F-5CE9-4AE1-8860-5A65B6833A2D.jpg

Sick rides bro! Low life is the best life. I recently went to visit my sister in law in Colorado for my nieces graduation. I will concur that the roads up there are not lowered friendly. Still is was a blast breaking all them necks!

Some more updates. Box spray glassed. Should be textured later today. Wiring has begun and sleeper boot being installed around the gap.
