So I have recently been working on keeping my truck clean. This is something that I haven’t done much of in the past until I started getting advice from South Bound Steve on this forum.
He has made cleaning pretty easy and fun, if I dare say. I have bought several different items and my arsenal is growing out of control for a guy who hasn’t been a cleaner.
So, Friday I did a bunch of stuff with waxaddic and 303. I wake up Saturday and it it rained mud overnight. I was really pissed. This is what it looked like.

Ok Steve, this may be a little Farr fetched, but is a product available to keep this from happening?

Wow that's crazy. You sure it's not pollen that was on truck and mixed with rain? Or parked under a tree that the rain picked up junk on its way down?
What are you using for wax/sealant?
Ceramic would be nice but I think a better sealant would defend against this, something like carpro hydro2 or reload?

Not that I doubt you. I've seen fish fall out of the sky here, an eagle or osprey that lost his grip. Oysters and lobsters in Maine. Those seagulls are agressive and what I was told is that they drop their prey to crack them open. I saw twice a seagull take a pigeon out of mid-air, Maine seagulls are badass. In Japan I saw a bird they call a Kite take a pastry out of a person's hand.
But I've never heard of it raining mud?

It was in the rain, as other people got hit as well. I do park by a tree so most likely it’s a combo. It Really pissed me off.
I will check out your suggestions. I am disabled and can only do small things at a time. Ceramic would kill me as it would take me several days to complete the whole process. I can only wax small sections at a time.

I just really started cleaning. My current wax is, wait for it,

    ............AUTO CAR WASH............

I know but in my condition that’s what I have to do. I am going to try something new soon. It will take a few days to get the whole thing done but should be worth it.

It’s more like dust but in my mind it was mud and started my Saturday off bad.

Yes, maybe the shit he recommends attracts dust, then he tells you it was applied incorrect and then you can drop your ride off and he will correct it. WHAT A SCAMMER HE IS.

Once you go black, you never go back.

(Black Tundra myself, just looking at it, Bam it’s dusty)

Yep, “you never go back... to black” lol

I wash my truck way more than our last silver vehicle. I’m going white or mgm next time.

Dude go get yourself some carpro hydro2. Spray on and hose off 20 second later. Couldn't be any easier and gives great protection that lasts months. No buffing or rubbing at all. Almost completely hands off. Just be sure the truck isn't hot or in the sun. Mix the hydro2 with water in a spray bottle. Spray onto a panel of the car, let it sit for a few seconds and hose it off with a strong stream of water.

Rains mud here a lot too. Real windy which makes it a dirt storm, and then the rain comes and it's raining mud. Was at a track meet one year, and got covered in mud, LOL.

Edit: I guess I should clarify, it does it a lot WHEN it rains...........
