Has anyone reused the OEM speaker adapters in aftermRket speakers?

And if so, how hard to cut them offf?

I've just got the stock stereo that came with the truck.....I'm done spending money on stereo equipment at this stage in my life ....you get to be 50 + years of age....you don't tend to blast the music like you use to :turtleride:

Blasting it and sounding quality are definitely two separate topics. Wouldn’t you agree?

I thought 6x9 goes in the front, and
    6x5 goes in the rear?

Also I don’t see no crossover in this kit?

Did you keep the head unit? And if so was it a noticeable upgrade? Looking at getting better sound out of mine but don't want to break the bank.

Anyone help me out just for clarification?

Do we need to buy speaker adaptors for front AND rear door speakers if we are INSTALLING 6 1/2 component speakers?

I just just just finished installing one rear door and called it quits. I reused just one door for testers since I ordered the ebay adapter for under $20. the door panel clip doesn't catches at the back, as I believe the 6 x 5 sits a bit higher in the OEM adapters....

You can reuse adapters, and even the speaker harness if you have a dremel and with time to get creative......

cut the cone out, and with an electric sharp saw, cut about 1 inch of the top of adapter......
