2012 SR5 CM. Stock besides a Toytec level kit and new door speakers.

Last weekend driving down the highway my 4lo started blinking, backup camera came on, and reverse lights are engaged in all gears. Truck seemed to stick around in 5th a bit longer than normal before the issues but otherwise drives fine. R gear indicator light is also always on. I scanned the codes and got the P0705 code. I erased the codes and it drove fine until today when the same issues appeared. This time though if I make a turn without stopping first the traction light comes on and the truck acts like it's losing traction. No blow fuses that I have found yet, not seeing any damage to wiring in the engine bay, kick panel, or at the transmission range sensor. I can reset the codes and it will be fine for 10-15 min and then the problem repeats.

Worried if I just waive a white flag and take it to the dealer they will have a hell of a time finding the cause. Scouring the internet for a fix hasnt seem to pinpoint an exact issue either. Any ideas on the cause or suggestions on what to look at first? I'm about defeated.

Yeah I found the same but not really confident the sensor is bad. If it was bad I would have thought codes would come back immediately instead of waiting a random time. Thanks for the link though. Might end up just replacing it and seeing what happens.

I did but I dont think long enough because it wasnt enough to clear the codes. Had to use the scanner to clear the codes.

I really really really hope you get this problem fixed.

However, do you know what I so hate about this thread, and many like yours??????

How the hell can we search his wonderful forum, having he same problem, yet find a fix from the stated topic?

Throw out a bone, include a “P” code in the subject line..... something.

Gggrrrrrrrr - am just venting as I use forums to fix my ride - or at least see what the fixes are.

And quit doing hard resets on the ECU. The troubleshooting technician will thank you, so will your wallet.
