Greetings fellow Tundra owners. I just traded my son-in-law my 2016 Kia Sorento for his 2011 Tundra CrewMax SR5 that has 196K miles on it. My son-in-law was the original owner and I feel good about it. The engine sounds real tight. I got some upholstery repaired and hood repainted last week. I will run it through the Toyota shop next week. Question, I live in Houston, Tx where summers can be brutal and winters are short. My son-in-law ran 5W-30 oil and I intend to do the same. Any contra thoughts? Best regards

    Too many, but not enough....
    Welcome from socal!

I run 5w-30 as well, we have similar climates, minus the humidity. If you are worried about it you can run 5w-40 or 10w-40 without an issue.
