No idea, but certainly enough to break the ice!
    Hola Y’all,

As some of you have observantly hypothesized, yes, I am from NW GA & a new member of the Tundra community & this forum. I left behind Scarlett the 1st (my 06 Taco) As of 2 weeks ago, when I lost her due to the lower radiator hose blowing off at 3:30am in I-75n. Now that wouldn’t be a huge deal normally, but thanks to unrighteous, careless global leadership, I lost my olfactory senses during a 3-day bout of covid last year, and could not smell that classic tell-tale scent of coolant blowing away. DOH! Just because this is NOT the season to take on another large expense, life just had to send me one. I located an 06 crewmax 4x4 Tundra & signed my life away to the man once again for a term of several years, probably.
About me: Family man 1st & Foremost. I serve a higher power, love people and seek grand adventures. I’ve been called a polymath due to a grand spread of specialties, all sans high-school diploma. School SUCKS, learning is supreme! I’m a metal fabricator & artists by day. I build/design stuff, lots of different things, and my favorites are things that go *pew* in the night, sneakreaper style perforation tools (knives), forged metals of various flavors & Fe content, and furniture. My wife of 10 years & my 3 girls love exploring the blackwaters of the south in our Kayaks, and live for adventurous paddles of salt & fresh waters everywhere. We spend lots of time exploring ancient & lost civilizations, studying their cultures (or what we can ascertain of them evidenced by what they left behind) & this ties in tremendously with our paddling! To date we have discovered 11 ancient Native weirs, a wicked rad cave, several off-the-path Mounds & pyramids, and a complete megalithic city with MANY parallels to Yucatán Mayan Civilization, but North of the Gulf. We read, a LOT.
I realize my affinity for long-winded ness, so I’ll stop while I’m ahead & look forward to getting to know the community. If you made it this far, I applaud your efforts

    Hold Fast,
    J.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I drive through your parts every few years on the way to the smokies. AL and GA share some beautiful country in the foothills!

Hey thanks @Bakershack, by neighbor to the west! Yes, we absolutely do. I’ve found in my travels that folks genuinely discount the intricate nature of the SEUS, opting for the big-name hills & parks elsewhere. And ya know what? I’m totally OK with that. This will remain our haven, our hills to flee to when life becomes overwhelming, and with little interference. Plus, this is one of the few places where I have zero qualms with making new friends in the trails & waterways. Have a great day, bud.
