    2000 & 2013 Landcruiser
    Currently own a 2000 and a 2013 Landcruiser.
    The 2000 is for running around town, and the 2013 will soon be my wife's.

    Need a pickup, and based on good experience with the 5.7 L, I am focused on finding a 2016 to 2019 TRD Pro. Will be used for cross country trips from the North Carolina Mountains to the Oregon Cascades twice a year, as well as mountain camping/ hiking. Occasionally towing of 9,000 lbs. or less.

    Currently live in the Raleigh, NC area, but soon relocating to the Western North Carolina mountains.

    The only potential issues you may run into are as follows:

    1. TRD Pros are level from the factory and that makes them squat more when towing.
    2. 2019+ trucks do not have an external transmission cooler. It's up for debate if it's needed, but that is for you to personally decide on.
    3. 9,000 lbs is a lot for any Tundra to tow. No tundra out there has a real great payload capacity, and a fat trailer, WDH, passengers, and gear is almost guaranteed to put you over your payload ratings.
    4. A Tundra, even in higher trims, is not going to be as luxurious as your LCs have been.
    All that said, if you go drive one and love it, you can always adjust the other items to fit the Tundra and you'll have the most reliable 1/2 ton on the market.
