What is the best underbody treatment for a Toyota Tundra? Any ideas on a quality sprayer to get the job done right. I have a 2005 Tundra with 89,000 miles and it is in good shape. I want to keep it that way.

Heard good things about Fluid Film. It comes in either spray can or buckets. I think it has to to be reapplied yearly though.

Fluid film is good. I use Amsoil Heavy Duty Metal Protectant.

Never heard of this product, I will check it out. Winter in Wisconsin will be here before you know it. Thanks

How many cans of Amsoil would it take to coat the underneath of a Tundra?

How messy of a job is it?

Can it be sprayed on to surface rusted parts?

    Thanks for the info...

The Amsoil sticks better than FF. Pressure washed underneath last spring and the water was still beading off, same with when I just washed it again last month. However I can’t seem to find any as of late. Website says out of stock due to high demand and distribution delays or something like that. CRC marine protectant is very similar and have used that as well. It just doesn’t fly out of the can like the Amsoil.

I’d treat the surface rust first. I’ve used CRC and works well. Turns it black when it’s dried. It’s just call CRC rust treatment. The fumes really stick in the air though so do it outside and probably wear a mask and eye protection.

I used 5 cans, wear gloves so your hands stay clean and eye protection.
It's not too messy. I would lightly brush the rust to get some loose stuff off and spray it.

But you have to put it on before Fluid Film or Woolwax. Don't let the dealership spray it with that useless tar-like shite.
I believe the Amsoil MP HD is Cosmoline or very close. I've used both living in Canada, where rust was born.

I’ve been very happy with the Amsoil HD. Easy to apply and long lasting. Definitely recommend the glove/eye protectant. I’m laying on a creeper when I apply it, so I where a mask also.

Been using fluid film every November on my 2016. 5 years and it doesn't have any surface rust or anything.
