Tough vehicles that get the job done.

This 2017 SR5 CrewMax 4x4 has been mine since February of this year. It replaced a 2006 SR5 4x4 doublecab with 280,000 miles on it that I had since 2011. I spend a lot of time on unimproved roads, often without cell service. My Tundras always get me there and back, usually with a trailer, and for that I'm appreciative.

I never modded my '06, even though I considered it. I bought my '17 with some work done -- lifted/leveled, 33" OD tires, N-Fab rock sliders, and a Camlocker toolbox. I'm not sure exactly what suspension setup I have, but it works for me. I may take some pictures and do some Tundras.com research to figure it out later.

I didn't plan on doing anything else to my '17, but after stumbling across this website searching for floormat recommendations, some of y'all's beautiful trucks have seduced me. I'm thinking I need to do a chrome delete with TRD Pro grille insert, bumper covers, and headlight/fog light LED upgrades. But I've got other rides -- a toy (BMW m235i) and the family hauler/camper ('21 Sienna hybrid) -- that either demand maintenance or inspire projects. I'll let you guess which is which.

I've frequented car forums for years to learn about my vehicles -- Audi, BMW, Subaru, Chevy, Ford, Toyota Prius, Sienna -- this is easily the best auto community I have come across. I hope to learn a lot about this awesome truck while enjoying a few laughs as well. Thanks for your help already. Cheers!

Here are some pics because I know that's all you really want. Cahaba River in Central Alabama:

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!

Thanks, Bakershack! Love Baldwin County. See you have a couple of stickers there. Bama grad here, fourth generation. In-laws are Aubs though so I’m not a hostile fan by any means. Bet you’re proud of your kids - holidays will be fun for the rest of time. Especially Thanksgiving!

LOL - Yes, very proud of both of them. Neither are big football fans so it really is no big deal. Just a cool conversation starter for me!
