I have exhausted all my resources looking for a 4wd 2003-2006 Tundra for a retirement gift for my husband. He has worked so hard for our family that I would love to give some back. He even sold his Tundra when I needed a car. I’ve had 2 Tundras sell out from under me at two different dealerships. Taking a long shot here that someone might be looking to sell theirs.

Have you looked at the Tundras for sale section of this forum? Might be something there that works. Good luck

Just a thought, be very weary of rust underneath any trucks you plan to look at. These trucks are notorious for frame rust depending on the region. If you end up getting a truck with a rusty frame, it'll unfortunately end up being more than a "retirement gift".

    Good luck with your search!

Do searches on craigslist, facebook. Also try cargurus and look at states/locations within the driving distance you can make. Or, look nationally, you can always have the truck shipped to you for about a grand. Additional cost for the shipping could be totally worth it if you find the right truck!

If you edit your profile to add what part of the country you’re in, you may get better leads, plus we’ll be better able to guide you about the likelihood of rust in your region.

Welcome to the forum. Very nice gift idea you have. What part of the country are you in? Also, please make sure that whichever 1st gen you do buy, you thoroughly check the frame. The #1 killer of these trucks is frame rot and it will be better or worse depending on where you live in the US. We've had a few people join because they bought a 1st gen and only after the fact realized the frame was rotten.
