Below is the install as completed on my 2012 5.7L Rock Warrior Crew Max. Should be the exact same process for all 2007+ Tundras.

The ABS Sensor Guards are sold by SDHQ. http://store.sdhqoffroad.com/2007tundraabsvacguards.aspx

    Link to SDHQ Install Instructions

The reason I am installing is because the ABS sensors are unprotected, easy to break and expensive. @Sean266 paid ~$200 to replace one already. The guards are bolt on and will protect the sensors from rocks.

    The kit includes:
    • (4) ABS Guards (2 driver and 2 passenger)
    • (4) M6 - 1.0 x 45 bolts
    • (4) M6 Flat Washers

Tools needed to complete the job:
    • 10mm socket / wrench
    • 5mm allen wrench
Here are the guards in the package:

Here is everything needed for this install:

Start by turning the wheel out so you have room to work.

For the front guards, remove the factory 5mm allen bolt holding the sensor. Install the guard on the appropriate side using the provided hardware and adjust so the bottom plate is parallel to the ground and tighten. Use some PB Blaster if they don't come off easy right away.

For the rear guards, remove the 10mm nut and stud. One of two things will occur here. Either the nut will come off and leave the stud in place or the nut and stud will come out together. The latter occurred for me. If the nut only comes off then pull the sensor out and remove the factory stud using pliers. Install the guard on the appropriate side using the provided hardware and adjust so the bottom plate is parallel to the ground and tighten. Use some PB Blaster if they don't come off easy right away.

When completed you will have 2 bolts, 2 studs and 2 nuts remaining that can be recycled or saved for future opportunities.

Have not broke one myself but now I don't have to worry. @Sean266 broke one on his 2014 so now he added these guards as well.

Is there really a need for these??? I got 160k on my 06 CM and have never knocked one off or have ever heard of anyone losing one.

Interesting. I would guess that a lot of off roading might be a situation that these would help. But if you have a pavement queen, I am thinking they might not be so necessary. I would actually worry about them creating a collection point for dirt/debris, which could build up and cause corrosion to the plug end of the wire harness. Time will tell.

Leer 100XR truck cap, 5100's on the middle setting. Ikon Add A leaf, Cooper Discover ATX3 275/70/18, Genuine Cooling Systems transmission cooler, chrome delete.
When I had my leaf pack installed, the shop that installed them accidently broke one of my sensors taking my old leaf out. They covered everything and took care of me but those sensors are fragile, and they are about $400 each.

You don't have to play off-road to hit something in the highway.

They can take a beating.... If you actually look at one there is a protective cover. If ur really worried about em then there's a few other "delicate" items you might also want to baby!!! $250 for a $50 set of sensors on Amazon.... Lol
