Bought my first Toyota from the FB marketplace, a 2003 Tundra SR5 that came with a plow!

I'm fairly handy with tools, so looking forward to doing my own maintenance when I can. First item on the list... track down a 'chirp' that is more pronounced on startup and sometimes goes away. I'm thinking water pump maybe. We'll see.

If you have any tips on some good threads here, please let me know.

    Thanks! -- Ken

This rig is a Toyota "Work Truck" ~ pretty much bone stock. Nearly worn out now ~ 40K miles showing on the clock.
My brother bought one in 2002 ~ it's around 235K and still running strong.

    Welcome from Wyoming.

There is a very active and rich 1st gen community on this forum. I'd start here https://www.tundras.com/threads/1st-gen-lunch-table-general-discussion.60450/ just to get a feel for the 1st gen faces. They are a good bunch and almost make me wanna buy a 1st gen so I can comment without @bmf4069 and @Darkness throwing memes at me! Then again, that's half the fun. Anyway, that thread will let you see who is more active and they can also give you tips on threads for your model year.

Welcome! A chirp on startup is probably just an accessory belt needs replaced. Take a look around and don't hesitate to ask questions.

Welcome @kenivey ! Wander over to the 1st Gen section and make yourself at home. We yell. We drink whiskey. Sometimes we talk about trucks. It's a good time.

    Kiss ass.

Every time you post in first gen my pug screams, its like the bat signal :annoyed:

All jokes aside, its true that the first gen crowd here has a lot of friendly and active members who are mostly the DIY type. Sometimes I see a question posted and wait to see the pack swarm in. Same happens when @AzureNightmare posts in here but we show up with funny memes.
