    Hi all,

I am thinking about trading my 2019 Tundra Sx in for a 2020 TRD Sport and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a height difference, as I know the shocks are different. Both would be stock height. I am just worried about getting it in the garage!

    Thanks,

    -T

Should not be any different. Only the Pros are a little taller than the others. I think the tire size difference (if any) between a sx and sport would be the main difference and even then you are probably only looking at about 1/2 inch.

I think I read somewhere, where people were having issues getting into their garage due to the new whale tail antenna on the roof of the 2020's. Might try searching that, if height is an issue.

My 2016 has a ~3.25/1.75" lift with 34" tires and it fits in my 7' garage with a lot of room left. The rest of the garage is pretty tight with the 4Runner and Tundra both in there. Have to back one in so we can get in the drivers door of each

If you have a shorter garage, it'll be close with the new "whale" roof antenna. My parents have a short garage and with the fender mounted antenna on, it would hit the top of the garage door frame at stock height.

Thanks everyone for the answers. Went to a dealership yesterday, BUT they wouldn't budge anymore on my trade. I have a 2019 Sx Tundra and I wanted 33500 for it, but they would only do 32000. I want that extra 1500 to put down so that I will have about a 10K down payment. I walked out so we will see if they budge and call me, I could see the desperation, so who knows. The truck was just gorgeous, a TRD off road in Cav Blue, and if this was like 6 months ago that truck would have been gone almost as soon as it made it on the lot! I was a little surprised they were willing to loose out on selling a 48K truck over 1500.00 and getting a newer Tundra used on their lot (they currently have 3 late models with high high milage), but whatever...

I'm surprised your dealership is desperate for sales. I thought inventory was pretty low these days.

If I found the truck with all the things on it I wanted I am not sure I would let $1500 stop me. Cost depends on your interest rate, but you are probably looking at 15 to 20 dollars a month.

But, give them a few days and contact them again. If there are other dealers close by try and see if one of them can get you closer to your trade in goal.

Going to another dealership Sunday. So this one tried to screw me because Friday they quoted me 31K for my trade and 41,113 for the truck I wanted. I said nope and walked out knowing they would call and offer me more. Next day the manager texts me and says we will give you 32K for your trade, I said nope 33K and the price you quoted me for the new one. He eventually agreed, but then said the price of the mew one was 41,756. I said um no, that isn't what you quoted me and he claimed they quoted the wrong vehicle. I then told him that the sales person I dealt with knew what truck I wanted, she even got the keys for that specific truck so that I could look it over. He again claimed that there was confusion, so I say bye Felicia and gave them lots of bad reviews on every site I could. I will be going to my trusty dealership that I have bought many vehicles form, I just though I would give this one a try because they are closer to home. Stupid me.... The saga continues!

So it's almost official, I called my normal dealership that I trust and they were willing to beat the other dealership that tried to play games. I am buying a Tundra TRD Off road in VooDoo Blue, providing they give me what they told me for my trade. Here are the numbers:

VooDoo Blue TRD off road tundra with spray in bed liner (that will be added after I buy it)

    Sticker: 46,559 K

Out the door price: 41,500 with all doc fees and spray in bed liner included (we don't have a tax here)

Trade: 33K for my trade which I payed around 36K for about a year ago brand new (Tundra Sx black and I HATE the color it's so blaaaaah to me and it feels so not girly). This will give me a 10K down payment!

I put a deposit on it to hold it until I can get to the dealership tomorrow (on a 24 hour shift today) will take pictures when and if it becomes mine! I just love the end of the month....

Thanks again everyone, I am now the proud owner of a new VooDoo Blue Tundra TRD off road, AND BEST OF ALL it fits in the garage perfectly fine!! Shark fin is ok too, it's not too high...

Final numbers : 41,500 out the door for the new truck, which includes the stupid doc fees (Sticker was 46,556),and they will do the spray in bed liner no additional cost to me.

Trade: 2019 Tundra Sx edition with 10K miles 33,500 which gave me 10K to put down.

Gave me a 2.5% interest rate (did some serious arguing with the clueless finance lady who must have mistaken me for a stupid person)

So happy with my new ride!!!
