Here's a new product due to arrive July 2nd or 3rd (a week away), so I figured I'd better post it up to let everyone know they have another snorkel option in the market!!

Suits 2014 to 2020 Tundras with the 5.7L V8 engine and the stock air box, also works with the TRD air box. This wasn't intended to work with an aftermarket air box, as most of them have a different intake tube shape or size that isn't compatible without customization.

    Part number: SN59-3468
    Price: $300
    Website: https://exitoffroad.com/product/dobinsons-tundra-snorkel-kit

Taking orders now, good amount of stock arriving to be able to ship the first full week of July

I don't think 20 would jump on a Tundra snorkel right away. But I could be wrong?

Half the price of the arb snorkel. Looks better too as it seems like it doesn’t stick out as much.

Does anyone know how far off the 3rd gen fender is to a second gen?

I am wondering how hard this would be to fit vs a 200 series land cruiser snorkel on a second gen

Ordered and received! Installing either this weekend or next weekend when my ARB bumper arrives.

@crikeymike Do you guys have any plans to manufacture a pre-filter / circular style head? Or any recommendations for one? The Donaldson Topspin is appealing, however they only make them in 3" and 4", while the Dobinson seems to be 3.5" / 85mm. All the other brands I've found are hideous.

I've never had a snorkel before, but I live in Montana where bugs and snow are concerns for me. Maybe I'll just turn the head backwards when it's snowing

    That's great

No plans for a pre-filter. They do reduce airflow though. You can use the 4" one and make or find a reducer to narrow it down to the neck.

OH! One recommendation for you guys... I got the idea from watching an ARB snorkel install on a Tundra. The guy really didn't want to drill through the pillar next to the windshield, which made me realize I really didn't want to do that either. No thanks to drilling near airbags and the possibility of water getting in the cabin.

So I just got some Scotch outdoor mounting tape and put it between the bracket and body for now. Curious to see how it will hold up, I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

I guess the recommendation would be to include this option in the instructions. Maybe some mounting tape or some other option for people who don't want to drill into that pillar?

Otherwise, what a great kit. Easy install for a professional mechanic. Probably challenging for a home mechanic, especially drilling that giant hole in the fender!

Edit: second recommendation - black hardware for the pillar mounting bracket and the screws that hold the intake screen in place. No big deal, it just triggers my OCD. =D

Not a terrible idea for a street vehicle, but if you get offroad in branches and trees and it grabs that snorkel, it will then lever it down and bed the whole fender that it's properly attached to.

Since it's not a long term solution (the tape), it is not recommended.

That's a very good point. OK, so I will be drilling into that pillar after all!

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this snorkel soon. I have a S&B cai now that was in the truck when I bought it. Has anybody attempted making them work together? I'm going to pick up a factory intake as a back up plan but would like to make it work with the S&B.

It wasn't ever checked on the 4.6L airbox, that would be the only difference really, if it takes in air with a different sized intake, where the pipe connects to it from the snorkel body.

Maybe someone else can chime in if they're familiar with differences between the 4.6 and 5.7 airboxes

    Function before sparkle.
I ran one for 10+ years on a Tacoma. Zero issues related to ambient air temperature.

ARB heads are designed to direct water to the sides and out and I think Dobsons do the same. The only time it can be an issue is in very heavy, wet snow and if it cakes on the snorkel head. That's when you turn it backwards.
