so, I had my windshield replaced this morning and I knew that some trim around the window had to be moved/removed. but looking at it now, something just doesn't seem right. I cant put my finger on it, but something seems off. for those of you with 3rd gens, can you look at your truck and see if it is the same as mine?

on the drivers side, do you have this large gap looking under the hood?

I can see light through to the other side.

this rubber piece is lose and doesn't seem to be tucked in right?

the rubber piece is lose on the passenger side as well. and the holes? is something missing there? how is that rubber piece supposed to tuck in and fit with the surrounding pieces?

I know I an obsessed with my truck, but am I being crazy here? o_O

    thanks for the pics.

On your truck, it looks like the rubber pieces are adhered somehow (or at least tight fitting). on my truck, they are lose and have gaps.

I had the same issue after having my windshield looked at as I had (And still have) a wind howl and 100km (60mph) or higher. The rubber pieces caught my eye after that and appear how yours kind of look. I was able to fix it a little bit when I got handsy with it, but not a large improvement.

When ever I polish my truck I take those rubber pieces out. It fasten/snaps into place and yours looks normal.
