Ok, this one goes down well, but the finish truly tastes like a campfire DB60CAE0-2B82-4DC1-8D8E-47FFBB96A867.jpg

If you like a rye, High West Double Rye is quite good.

Every dickel product I've tried (and sourced Dickel) tastes like flintstones vitamins

I enjoy peated scotch but just haven't been able to acclimate to that dickel mineral profile yet

I've not tried a lot of whiskey over the years but Jameson Black Barrel is smooth as silk ~ I really enjoy sipping this stuff.
My brother that prides himself on drinking 'American' whiskey even gave his approval.

    [IMG] [IMG]
At a recent Happy Hour at our home someone brought a bottle of 'Skrewball' ~ it's whiskey infused with peanut butter.
I was prepared to not like the stuff but it turns out to be a pretty good after dinner liqueur.
Developed by a fellow here in Ocean Beach it's getting a little notoriety all over the world.
A nice change of pace from your 'go to' whiskey ~ it's not likely to become your very favorite but it is different.

New to me and definitely not my usual pick...but really good for a sherry finished bourbon. Reminded me of a finished irish. Probably make a great after dinner pour due to the sweetness.

    Great thread!
I love how guys are enjoying the everyday Bourbon/Whiskey and not just sticking to the allocated stuff....

My to-go bourbon is the Old Forester 1910... great drinker right around 100 proof with a very sweet nose and great finish. Enjoy it neat and love the taste. There should be a whole new batch available at your favorite liquor store.

My special treat is the Willett Family Estate 4yr Rye. It is nothing like I have ever tasted and just plain delicious. Can be a little difficult to find, but it can be had for about $65

If I am at a restaurant and they have a great bourbon menu.... I treat myself to the George T Stagg.... definitely my favorite even over the Pappy stuff. I have yet to find any for MSRP, but will gladly spend $18 to $30 per glass on it.

Yeah, its good... But almost to sweet for me. Would like to see what it would taste like as a barrel proof...

Tried the 1792 small batch (not the full proof) tonight, and it was very well done.

I’d been on the Evan Williams Single Barrel for a bit, but for several dollars less, the 1792 may become my go-to.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of High West Distillary... except for Campfire. If you are ever in a high end Whiskey bar and they have High West's "A MidWinters Nights Dram", get on it. Easily, my favorite rye that I have ever had. Downside is that they don't distribute it to many liquor stires.

Even the Midwinter Nights Dram is awesome. The Act 7 just got released, and you may be able to find a bottle

Not real easy to find in Iowa either. Been almost two years since I have found any.
