It's not enough that you get the godfather pulled into spending money on wonderfully performing new products? Now you have to light a fire under everyone's ass? Lol

Great write up as always Jim.

I'm completely broke right now after a few impulse buys this week, so unfortunately the Adams stuff will have to wait for me. But I'll be keeping an eye on this

That's quite a stock you've got there. Sounds like you have been plenty busy detailing cars and selling products. You have it figured out, I should learn from you and try to start earning some money with this "hobby" that we all enjoy so much. I am still waiting for my first paying job since I did my brothers old pickup, now that reminds me....he still hasn't paid me and I still need to fluid film the underside for him.

It's funny you mentioned people noticing what was not done when they have their car detailed, which then opens doors to learn. That happened with me, I was just starting to become interested in detailing but still didn't know where to start or what to do. I had washed, clayed, and waxed in the past and that was a 2 day job and I hated it. But I didnt really know about detailing, especially the new products. So one day I decided to try out a mobile detailer that was recommended by a co worker. While he was here, ironically I was on the phone with Steve and we were talking and I was learning. When the guy left, I did a walk around with Steve on the phone, and I, well we decided that I could do a better job myself and this guy really didn't know what he was doing, or just didn't care. That day I ordered some ech20, hydro2, grit guards and some mitts and everything kinda took off from there. That was my ah ha moment, I guess we have all had similar experiences that lead us down the road we are on now as far as hobby detailing.

Does this have the same cleaning properties as elixir?

Elixir has been my go to quick detail, but interested in the Adams waterless...

Gotcha. I've been making my own elixir, but my reload is getting low. Was thinking of trying something else.

Did Adams have a big sale or something? A lot of stuf is oos...

That is some serious gloss. Idk if I get that much gloss from my Elixer mix. You're definitely turning heads and changing hearts with this stuff Jim. Great find.

Bought a bottle of the Adam's mystery product when I ordered a bunch of pumpkin spice stuff for my daughter to use on her new car. Haven't tried it yet but I went ahead and bought 4 more bottles on your recommendation. Hopefully I can try it out soon.

Before winter hits here I need to decontaminate, clay, and hydro2 all our vehicles. Once that process is done can I just follow your steps?

    @driverdog

Thanks for all you information. Really appreciate it.

All the cars you detail look amazing!

Yes, I do hear that from others also. Of course, I can always see room for improvement. I’ve never thought I did one as well as I possibly could have.

It’s even better to get compliments from strangers. I go to a certain gas station regularly at around 5am. One day a guy came over and said that he sees me all the time, and my truck always looks great. He finally decided to come ask what I used on it. The mailman at my office came in and asked if he could take pictures of it to show his wife.

It’s always the same question though. “What wax do you use?” It seems like wax is the only product most people are aware of. Until recently, I always responded that I didn’t use wax. At least now I can answer the question!

Do they sell a larger size of the WW Sio2? I could only find the 16oz.

I’ve almost completely gotten away from detail sprays and waterless washes lately, but this looks really good. I went ahead and ordered a couple of bottles. I needed some tire shine applicators anyway, and theirs are my favorite.

Washed, decontaminate with iron x, clay mitt, hydro2, dryed, Adam's detail spray, and topped with Adam's mystery spray. I have to tell you I'm really impressed. Can't see the pop of the metal flake because it's in the shade but I'm loving the results. Shiny and slick. Here are a few pictures. Also used wise guy tire cleaner, p and s wheel cleaner, and waxx addict tyre feeder.

The metal flake really popped in the sun. Very impressive. My daughter's car has a ton of metal flake and this process brought it out even more. And of course it rained this afternoon.

I'm happy I ordered 4 more bottles of mystery sprays and also a few regular detail sprays from Adam's. I'm not a huge fan of the pumpkin spice. I have a few other limited detail sprays I need to try. Cars and coffee, memorial day, 4th of July, and untamed I think. I bought the limited sprays to flip on eBay and I just decided to keep them.

Has anyone actually used this as a waterless wash? Seems most examples have been using it on a clean, pre washed car. Almost using it as a spray sealant. I like that it leaves a great gloss and look. But how does it do at it's intended purpose? Waterless wash products seem to work really well, or not work well at all. I'm especially curious as to how well it clean and how it encapsulates and lifts grime so I am not left with swirls from a waterless wash, I love ech2o because of its ability to clean and clean safely. Elixir is great because it adds some sealant on top of the power of ech20, which IIRC has sio2 as well, but obviously not 10%, even elixir comes in under 10% total.

Thanks fellas. I'm always looking for ways to wash in winter, so far ech2o rinseless has been the best for me. I do pretreat more soiled panels with ech2o at waterless concentration. Then use elixir after.

I got this based on this thread. I like it. I think it just replaced beadmaker for me.

I bought a 12oz bottle last week on Amazon. Ordered a 64oz refill today. Good stuff.

I did the half and half on my truck this evening. This seems like a really great product. We’ll see how it goes.
I do have to respectfully disagree on one point though. In my opinion this is slick, but nowhere near as slick as Beadmaker, at least on first impression.

Can someone post a negative review please.....so I don't end up buying a bottle of this stuff.
I was just telling my buddy about how beadmaker seems to always surprise me with its slickness. Always a day or 2 after application, once it is fully cured. I find my hand slips off the door or tailgate when trying to close them. That's how slick beadmaker is, and I keep forgetting that when I apply it. Even just as a drying aid, I used 2 or 3 sprays per panel Sunday and dried, today I missed closing my door tightly twice cuz my hand slid right off. I can not imagine anything being better in that department, but every day I learn something new.

I can definitely see that. Beadmaker’s lack of durability is a major drawback. It either has to be reapplied monthly, or at least used as a drying aid in subsequent washes.
This stuff certainly “feels” like it’s more durable, if that makes sense. Beadmaker is not as thick as the Adams is, and since it has sio2 where Beadmaker does not, it should last longer.

I checked this morning, and the Beadmaker side is definitely more slick. There’s just that unique feel to it that nothing else I’ve tried has been able to replicate. I actually haven’t used Beadmaker much over the last few months, as I’ve gotten more into waxes, along with trying a few other things.

I’ve definitely noticed a difference with the constant rain lately. Whereas a lot of products produce great beading, they couldn’t hold a candle to Beadmaker’s hydrophobic properties. If it rained on my truck with Beadmaker applied, that water would fly off as soon as I started driving. It would be dry within a quarter mile at most. I’d get this waterfall down my windshield as soon as I started backing up. This doesn’t happen with other products. Hopefully I’ll get a little rain this week to see how the Adams compares in that regard.

The Adams also has the benefit that you can actually clean the truck with it. I don’t do many waterless washes, but it did work very well as one. I’ve tried to mix Beadmaker with other products to use as a quick detailer or waterless wash, but hadn’t found a combo that that worked well. I’ve mixed it with Ech20, ONR, P&S Pearl, and Opti-Clean to be specific. I’d actually hoped to give you guys a great combo to try, but Beadmaker just doesn’t seem to lend itself to that kind of thing.

One thing I did experience was that the Adams wanted to streak more than Beadmaker, Reload, Opti-Clean, or Elixer. This could definitely be a lack of familiarity with the product though. I’ve used those others so much that it’s second nature to apply it, so it’s likely a matter of me needing to get more used to it. Do you guys see the same thing?

I don’t want to jump the gun since I only tried this product last night, but it definitely looks like something I’d recommend. I’ve had a grudge with Adams since I forked out $70.00 for their worthless ceramic spray, but this product is very reasonably priced. It’s right there with it’s competitors, so price isn’t a factor. It’s also the first Adams product I’ve tried that I cared to take a second look at. Everything else of theirs I’ve used has been average at best.
I’m expecting this to be a very good find, pending head to head tests with stand alone sealants. It felt really good applying it.

It almost feels like Elixer that had a higher percentage of Reload mixed in. @SouthBoundSteve @driverdog would you guys say that is accurate?

So is the ceramic WW the same as this mystery WW? Cuz right now with discounts you can get the 64oz WW for $40, or 3 of the 16oz ( total 48oz) mystery WW for $40.
What I should do is just buy 1 to try it, but I always go overboard
