Ok, everyone has convinced me i need to replace my battery here soon, 2015 original OEM, still working ok, but what the heck, I need to keep up with you all! :)

I am leaning toward the X2 from BatteriesPlus. Any concern over the weight on this bad boy? Looks to weigh about 20 lbs more than any other replacements.

    To much to list:)
Before the end of the summer a new Optima (Yellow) will be back in mine. I put one in the 13TSS and it was going on six years and never had a problem. They are very pricey though!!

I went with the biggest battery I could fit without major modifications. Northstar Group 31. 1150 COLD CRANKING AMPS!!!!!! I had to extend the positive cables and get longer (10”) j-hooks. I’m using the OEM tray and hold down bracket. Terminals are from GP Car Audio. I got the battery from GP Car Audio via eBay with a 10% off coupon. Cheaper than the group buy price. Need to clean up my wiring still.

I was a little nervous the handle would give up but I would assume they engineered it correctly.
    That battery is a beast.

Just had my OEM battery die exactly 2 years from the day I bought my Pro. It was replaced for free under warranty. I only have 8,300 miles on her.

She’s a beaut! Did you get the 30 dollar mail in rebate? I think I ended up paying around 320 OTD with the rebate. I’m not sure why someone would grab a Northstar when this is the exact battery with one year extra warranty but to each their own.
I bought a nice bracket off Amazon for 20 bucks but I needed new hold down rods because they were to short.

At 17k my Oem was failing. They replaced under warranty. But next is the genesis dual setup. Lights, fridge, stereo, laptop and camera gear = dead batteries. 800 isn’t cheap, but necessary for what I’m doing.

Unless you have special needs OEM works just fine.

I Paid Online and with In store pick up with their promo discount it
Cost me $ 350.49 And it has a 5 year warranty
The real question is how much does the red TRD battery hold down cost
    ?
I bet it’s more than half the cost of this battery haha

@Coupe is the guy for the TRD battery hold down bracket.
He is very responsive, and his product is top notch.

Nice, I saw yours originally @ post #74. Very cool with the red.
Mine is @ post #102. I ordered mine raw and then got it anodised black to prevent any corrosion. Again @Coupe was a breeze to work with.

Bed lined, tinted all 5 windows, hose clamped tailgate, toolbox, steps, ESP rear seat storage bins, dash cam, anytime camera switch, console safe, pop a lock for tailgate and wheels/flares, sway bar. I have Techstream if anyone local needs it.
My truck was purchased on 06/08/2018. My factory battery died on 05/23/2019. So, it didn't even make it a year, and only 14,500 miles. The dealer replaced it with an 84 month True Start battery (under warranty), which I was told come off of the Interstate Batteries delivery truck (by a person in the know at the dealership). So, we shall see.

I just had a similar experience with my original battery. Purchased 2018 Tundra Crewmax in November of last year. Replaced yesterday under warranty due to "bad cell". It gave me 0 warning signs that it was going bad, one day it was great, the next day barely turned over to start. Would not accept a charge.

They replaced it also with a True Start. Props to the service adviser in Sioux City. He had the truck in and out in about 20 minutes.

Curious your running a fridge! I have a chest freezer on the back and running through a 2000w inverter straight from the main battery. When it’s parked I plug into the house. Is your setup similar?

Quick battery replacement question. My Northstar will arrive tomorrow so I will be replacing it this weekend.

Are any settings lost when the battery is disconnected (radio presets, etc.)?

Mine kept the presets but lost that ASL setting. I think that it means Auto Sound Level, I do know that it's the setting that dictates the aggressiveness of the volume change related to speed. I think it lost the tonal adjustment too. I can't recall if it lost the Auto Climate Control settings or not, but you'll know.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why in this day and age these setting are not stored in non-volatile memory. I recently replaced the battery on my 2014 Yamaha FJR motorcycle that had a number of personal settings I had made over the years (dash display brightness, heated grip settings, etc.). I went through and copied them all down just in case but found that all were restored when the new battery was connected.

If they don't want to trouble themselves with a non-volatile memory solution, a simple charged capacitor would work just fine to temporarily retain these settings for the convenience of the owner.

I have to replace my battery this year. Definitely want to go AGM, the debate is Odyssey or Northstar. Thoughts?

Based on your ideas, I can connect my motorcycle battery (the one I just removed from my Yamaha, still working fine) to the cables to retain any memory items.

No problem, I'll tape them up. Connect MC battery first, disconnect from OEM Tundra battery, install new battery, connect and remove MC battery. I've done this a few times.

My wife's 2017 Sequoia has the exact same battery that was in my Tundra so in a few weeks I'll order another Northstar and go through the same routine on hers.

Add me to the list of needing a new battery.2017 bought new in june of 2017 .25,xxx miles and poof out of the blue, deader than dead .Atleast it died at my house .It started 3x this morning perfectly fine like it was brand new, 4th time one click that was it nothing. Bought an Interstate MTZ 34R AGM. Prob should have bought the cheapest at Autozone and then ordered an Odyssey or Northstar .Oh well its got a 4year warranty see how it goes.Store tested each cell and they were all good but it only had 9.6 volts. Still love the truck
