2013 Tundra 4.6L 62500 highway miles. Water pump leak, dealer says replace, cost $1038.00 Plus flush and fill of $139.99. Very disappointed in Toyota, quality and reliability used to be much better.

Look on every single forum on the internet regarding trucks in general. Guess what you'll find? Problems at every single mileage. Everything on the face of the earth that has mech and electrical components WILL have problems. It's inevitable. Even the space shuttle had issues.
That says nothing about quality, but has everything with reality.
It's a statistical fact that Toyota has a higher level of reliability than other truck brands, but that doesn't make them impervious to human error, malfunctions, or Murphy's law.
Either fix it yourself or pucker up and pay the mechanic. Afterwards, call it a shitty day and grab a brew. You'll be fine.

And like @Sean266 said, the poll???

Your poll make sense...it does not - Yoda

LOL hey! I thought I handled it pretty well. One of my pet peeves is people having one small thing go wrong and question the quality or something. If it was the engine, that'd be different, but a water pump? We all know that's one of the few problems tundras has.

I would be going to an independent shop for half the cost....since this isn't warrantied.

I went to another Toyota dealer 7 miles away, Rick Hendrick Toyota in Sandy Springs, Ga. They did it for $603.00. Marietta Toyota in Atlanta area are the ones who tried to charge me $1038.00 so I am warning people, get a second estimate. Gina at Sandy Springs gave me the price over the phone before I even got there and stuck to the same price when I arrived. Thank you Gina, you are the best.

I didn't know how the poll worked, sorry I wasted your time. I was trying to warn people about the dealer but you just want to bust balls, you did, I hope you are happy. As for me bitching about the quality I really don't expect to change water pumps at 60,000 miles, never had to before in many vehicles I have had, so yea, Toyota quality has declined and that's a fact.
