Reserved for planning the PNW Pudge’s Syrup meet!!

It sounds like Pudge starts shipping out his wonderful CT Gold syrup March-May.
Thread can be found here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/maple-syrup-season-3.39498/

I have a few weekends in May booked (Mother’s day (12th) and May 24th) but other than that should be flexible if we plan sooner than later.

If interested I could host the meet-up location that’s a few acres river-front on the Kalama River if everyone agrees (less than 10 min off I5 and exit 32).
I’d be happy to swing by the local butcher and pick-up some steaks and goodies we could grill up all day over beers (if you’re driving home you have to pass my breathalyzer test LOL - kidding, but please be responsible! Coors Light for the ones driving, Ninkasi IPA’s for those staying - maybe some Whisky?) LOL

I know there would be some folks coming from pretty far - so I’m guessing a Sat-Sun meet? Or does Fri-Sat work better?
The house (our vacation home) has 1 master downstairs (I call dibs!) and 3 bedrooms upstairs (1 queen in one room, other 2 rooms are bunk beds) and then our shop has an office/game room connected (heated) with a sofa-sleeper and room/carpet floor space to throw a few cots or blow up mattresses down.
We also have a ton of room for tents throughout the property. And a hammock next to the river if you like to sleep in trees :D

As long as we don’t party too hard and destroy the place, I’m up for hosting
I’d imagine some would stay the night - I’m open to whatever LOL. Discuss below :)

I don’t know how we order or put together the group buy on syrup, so we’ll have to go over that as well

Oh - fishing, we do have some good fishing on/around our property (salmon/steelhead) and I have 7 or 8 rods if anyone wants to fish.

    Thoughts/comments - post away! :D

If you’re not sociable and just want to stop by, grab your badass syrup and tell us to pound dirt - I suppose that works too:D

    50C0618C-6C77-4AA1-AF6A-0F2DAEB5BA99.jpg
Hard to tell - but there’s a couple horse-shoes pits if we wanted to throw some shoes. Ping-pong and Foosball as well. River is just beyond the grass and sounds pretty amazing 24/7

I am down. If drinking I'd stay the night to be safe. I work Monday thru Friday and off early on Fridays around 12-3 depending how close to 40hrs I am. I can do either a friday-saturday or Saturday-sunday get together.

I am guessing we need who's ordering, how much, and then we split the shipment cost to @Boosted4runner house and then we divvy up the syrup at the meet. I am guessing we can all make a payment to @Pudge for ours plus a share of the shipment cost once he figures out how much is being sent and it's shipment cost for it.

    I’ve never ordered Pudge’s syrup.
Is it rude (too large of order) to order 3 or 4 16oz for myself Lol? I’ll take whatever is appropriate.
We should probably check pricing as well.
@Pudge for help in this area :D

I’d be up for sooner than later as long as Pudge can deliver before the meet date.

Bed 1 - reserved for Tim LOL
Bring a sleeping bag and pillow unless you like to do laundry :D

    We could vote on Weekends:
April 27th (I’d vote this one)
    May 4th
    May 11th (I’d be out - Mother’s Day)
    May 18th
    May 25th (I’m out - daughters bday)

    Pricing will likely be
    8oz-$10
    12oz-$15
    16oz-$20
    32oz-$30

I use flat rate shipping from USPS. Unless I can get a deal on some larger shipments out to groups of people. The savings would be when people split the shipping costs up in a larger order. The issue is that its really heavy and for glass I have to use a lot of packing to prevent breaking.

Hell I am good with sleeping bag and a floor if it came down to it. I am good with any date. I am 4 hours away depending on traffic and weather. Just need a day or two notice to get dog sitter.

I was hoping for 2-32 and 2-8. One of each to me and my dad. Small one for refilling.

Damn my timing sux this year. Just agreed to and shifted schedules for jury duty and May-Jun is all-out for my attendance. Certainly will be a blast for all who can and will make it, and hope there will be similar events again soonest. But what does it say about the group we have. From everything I read and learn day to day on this site an intelligent stellar group of gals and guys nationwide coast to coast, north and south including Canada and Mexico. Thanks for the fun and sun (or rain) offer @Boosted4runner. And of course Sean, I'll get an order in for my share.

My vote is for 4/27, but doesn’t matter too much since I’m retired. I will bring some good scotch and a couple extra seegars.
I’m not gonna get in on the group buy, I’ve still got some pudge syrup from last season, lol.
@Boosted4runner , if the group gets big enough, should we rent a portable toilet or two?

Not gonna make it this weekend, PNW neighbors :(. I'm very much committed to making it to Tundras to Sedona that weekend. :)

    Excellent!!
No worries on the toilet. We have an “outside” toilet that’s in the shop, easily accessible from the outside so you don’t have to go into the house. (No taking off shoes/boots/etc). It’s right behind me in the picture where I took of the fillet’ed out fish

Unfortunate you won’t be able to make it. The Sedona thing is cool.

If you had a Super White truck, you could easily do both the same day, because of the awesome speed.

Of course McFly should be able to let you arrive at both events at the same time if his flux capacitor doesn’t give out...

Anyhow, sorry we won’t see you this spring.

Hmmn, good point! @Marty McFly just brought home a 'puppy', a bit earlier than expected. Has me wondering if the McFlys might be able to attend Sedona after all . In which case, he could tow the Delorean to Sedona then shuttle us over one at a time to attend this PNW meet. Genious idea, @gosolo!

I wonder if a car seat will fit in the Delorean....

I’m interested in doing this to meet fellow tundra owners. I’m still fairly new to the PNW and still learning the area.
