The replacement element is well worth the cost as a whole dryer replacement is far more costly. However, the replacement of the part is tricky as it requires some disassembly. Luckily you can find that on Youtube but you still need to be handy to do it.
Other than that, I'd highly recommend instead of replacing the dryer.

Obviously very poor quality. This dryer heating assembly worked for 24 days and then just stopped. Troubleshooting was no help whatsoever and trying to return it for an exchange was laughable too—it was going to take 10-14 days to receive the replacement. Terrible product, avoid like the plague.

Watch the YouTube video for your specific model. Mine had two pain in the @$$ bolts and a pop off panel that without the video I would have destroyed. Repairman cost $400 plus. My time an hour and forty five minutes. IT Works! How long? We'll find out. (It appears to be the same quality of the original, one sensor is mounted slightly different.) UPDATE - Well after just 2 months a sensor stop working. Original 5 stars dropped to two stars due to part failure. I'm not blasting the product however all sensors should have been good for years. I now have a spare for two out of three sensors and a heating element. Hopefully I won't have to use them. Hint if your getting older and have to do this yourself when you get to stage of removing the heating cartridge. Tilt the dryer to the left and let it rest on a small cardboard box. This way you don't have to lift it to a bench, or lie on the floor. Second time is always easier than the first.
